Damage Assessment and Condition Evaluation
MQE possesses the expertise to carry out “inspections in the metal producing and metal working industries, as well as in plant engineering and equipment, machinery, engines, and shipbuilding using mechanical-technological testing, visual examination, metallography, spectral analysis and electron microscopy scanning with energy dispersive X-ray analysis and the determination of compliance with general defined requirements based on an expert’s survey.” /1/
A team of experienced engineers and technicians determine the nature and extent of the evaluations and investigations to be carried out, through initial assessment and photos. An initial visual inspection on site often provides early results and indicates where further testing is required. Each request is treated individually by an MQE staff member and the resulting testing procedure agreed with the client. The evaluation and assessment of analytical results is carried out by our engineers and experts, and can, if required, also be carried out by our publically appointed and sworn expert for metallic materials testing and failure analysis, Dr. F. Ahrens.
